"Gardeners Wanted: Reframing Parenthood"

Facilitated by Adrienne Hidalgo Esguerra (she/her) and Patrocinio Esguerra (he/him) of Afterschooling Better

Workshop Description: Not everyone is a parent, but everyone has been parented. This workshop will discuss Filipinx history & identity, understanding family dynamics, knowledge of self, and how to ask for help. "I’m not a parent, is this workshop for me?" Parenting is inclusive of: bio, birthing, non-birthing, step, adoptive and surrogate parents; aunties + uncles, ates + kuyas, lolas + lolos, educators, coaches, community workers and anyone who centers the betterment of children in their lives. It is important to be inclusive of these roles because we have a collective responsibility to raise the revolution.

 Session 3: Sun & Water

Workshop Description: In this workshop we’ll explore the power of frequency, opening ourselves for deep listening and relaxation. We’ll also uncover ways we use movement to release stress, express our truths, and celebrate ourselves. (This workshop will take place outdoors.)
