I recognize seeking support can be daunting, but you don't have to face your life challenges alone. I am committed to helping individuals from marginalized communities who are seeking therapy to get help with anxiety, depression, identity exploration, or trauma-related experiences. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space to explore what might be coming up for you in these areas. Together we will work to develop resilience, a stronger self-esteem, healthier relationships, personal agency, insight, and strong coping skills.
My therapeutic style is CBT-oriented, DBT-informed, positive psychology minded, and centered around cultural humility. I also integrate mindfulness and bring a solution-focused approach. My practice centers around the LGBTQ+ community, men of color, survivors of sexual trauma, intimate partner violence, young adults and early career professionals.

My goal is to always create a safe place where clients can freely explore their emotions, heal from past traumas, and develop the necessary skills to thrive. I strongly believe that therapy is a partnership between me and you. Together we will reach your goals. Reach out to me to see if we might be a good match. I would love to work with you!

What does "mental health" mean to you? Why is it important for us as Filipinxs/Filipinx Americans to normalize discussions around wellness and mental health in our community?

Mental illness is just as real and as damaging as any other kind of illness. Untreated, it tends to get worse. Filipinx youth continue to have high rates of suicide and suicide attempts compared to other Pacific Islander/Asian communities. Now with Covid and the fact that there are so many Filipinx caregivers and health workers who have gotten sick and died, the toll on mental health and families is that much higher. We are at a crisis point.

Mental health means a lot of different things to me: resilience, strength, the acknowledgment of pain and suffering, the ability to accept support and help without feeling shame or weakness.
