My name is Hannah Rhea Divino and I’m a Pinay second generation daughter of immigrants passionate about creating non-judgmental spaces for people to speak their truth, delve deeper into the root of their emotions, process difficult life circumstances, develop healthy relationships with themselves and others. My approach is client-centered and healing-centered, giving you the power to shape each session and supporting your journey to honor your needs, boundaries and emotions.
If you find yourself struggling with grief & loss, caregiving, anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, workplace trauma & burnout, or intergenerational trauma, let's connect. I’d love to work with you to start the “heart” work of accepting yourself with compassion, listening to your body, developing your authentic voice, & unapologetically living the life you want.

Let's work together to shift your pain into power, move from surviving to thriving & practice rest. Healing isn’t linear or easy but you don’t have to do it alone. Trust the process. I’ll be with you every step of the way!

What does "mental health" mean to you? Why is it important for us as Filipinxs/Filipinx Americans to normalize discussions around wellness and mental health in our community?

Mental health matters because you never know what struggles others may be going through. Everyone deserves to feel safe, seen and supported. The more we love and care for our selves, the more we can better pour into our relationships and community.

As a low-income, second-generation Filipino daughter of immigrants, I witnessed firsthand the impacts of intergenerational trauma - ranging from family mental illness to the traumas of colonization, classism, and institutional racism. After attending a Filipinx Mental Health Breakout group at a Filipinx Statewide Policy Conference, I was reminded even more of why there needs to be more Pinay therapists to support mental health struggles among the Filipinx Community, especially learning about Dr. Joyce Javier’s study finding that 46.5% of Pinay teens had suicide ideation. This is why it's important to normalize discussions around wellness and mental health in our community. This work can save lives and give our community the tools to support in their journey to heal. It can help to address stigma and treat mental health struggles as serious as physical health since mental health is physical health.

My lived experiences and seeing other Pinays in the field inspired me to return back to Little Manila Rising as a youth alumni to create and direct their mental health program (Healing Pilipinx Uplifting Self & Others (PUSO). I promised myself I’d become a therapist and commit to pursuing my MSW while working with Little Manila and Sweet Mango Therapy gave me that opportunity to make that dream come into fruition. This work to normalizing mental health in the Filipino community is personal for me and extends beyond myself - it’s for our families, our communities & our ancestors.
